Privacy Policy

Destiny Chart (“we”, “us”, “the app”) is operated by Freedom Life Coach Ltd, a company registered in New Zealand. This policy describes exactly what the app does with your data. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, and to describe the app as it actually behaves.
The short version
- There is no account. No sign-up, no login, no password, no email required.
- Your charts live on your phone. Birth details and saved charts are stored in the app’s local storage on your device. We do not have a copy.
- Nothing about your charts leaves your phone unless you use “Ask AI.” Every chart, reading, PDF, and shareable card is calculated on your device. (If you subscribe, Apple and RevenueCat handle the purchase — they see the purchase, never your charts.)
- No ads, no trackers, no analytics, no crash reporting. The app contains no advertising SDK, no IDFA, and no third-party analytics.
What stays on your device
- Your birth date, time, and place, and any nickname you type.
- Every chart you save, and the readings, cards, and PDFs generated from them.
- Your language preference, notification setting, and daily draw.
Deleting the app removes all of it. We cannot recover it for you, because we never had it.
What leaves your device — only when you use “Ask AI”
“Ask AI” is optional. If you never open it, nothing about you is ever sent to us. When you do send a message, the following travels over an encrypted connection to our server, and from there to our AI provider:
- Your question, exactly as you typed it, and the rest of that conversation.
- A summary of the chart you are asking about — the Four Pillars, Day Master, elemental balance, pattern, luck cycles with their calendar years, sex at birth, and the nickname you gave that chart (if any).
- An anonymous device identifier (see below).
Please understand what the chart summary implies. A BaZi chart is a precise encoding of the moment you were born. Anyone holding that summary can work backwards to your birth date, and to a two-hour window of your birth time. We are telling you this plainly rather than calling it “anonymised data,” because it is not.
If a chart belongs to someone else — a partner, a family member — then their birth information is transmitted too, along with whatever nickname and relationship label you gave them. Please only enter another person’s birth details if they are comfortable with that.
Subscriptions
If you subscribe to Destiny Chart Pro, Apple processes the payment — we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active and to restore it if you change devices. RevenueCat receives an anonymous subscriber identifier generated on your device and your purchase history. It is not linked to your name, your email, or your charts.
The anonymous device identifier
The first time the app needs it, your phone generates a random string (something like d_k3f9x2…) and stores it locally. It is sent with your “Ask AI” requests so that our server can apply fair-use limits and detect abuse. It is not Apple’s advertising identifier, it is not linked to your Apple Account, and it is not shared with anyone else. Deleting and reinstalling the app generates a new one.

Our AI provider is DeepSeek, a company based in the People’s Republic of China. Your question and chart summary are processed on their infrastructure, subject to their terms of use and privacy policy.
Note on model training: under DeepSeek’s terms, inputs and outputs may be used to a limited extent to develop and improve their services. If this matters to you, simply do not use “Ask AI” — everything else in the app works entirely offline.
If you are in the EU, EEA, or the UK
Using “Ask AI” means your data is transferred to, and processed in, the People’s Republic of China, which has not been assessed by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection. We are stating this openly so that you can make your own decision. The rest of the app — charts, readings, cards, PDFs, daily energy — never leaves your device and is unaffected.
How long anything is kept
Our server may keep short-lived logs of “Ask AI” requests, including your question and the chart summary, in order to prevent abuse and diagnose faults. They are not used for any other purpose, are not linked to your identity, and are never sold or shared. Everything else lives only on your phone.
DeepSeek’s API is stateless: it does not keep your conversation history on its side — each request stands alone, and your device is the only place your chats and charts are stored.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled and delivered by your own phone. No push server is involved and nothing about you is sent to us.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information, and never will.
- We do not use your birth details for advertising or profiling.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not require an account, and we do not build a profile of you on our servers.
Your rights
Because we hold no account and no copy of your charts, the fastest way to erase your data is to delete the app. To ask about the short-lived server logs described above — including access to them, or their deletion — email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA, or the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Children
Destiny Chart is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the app does with your data, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date. Material changes to the “Ask AI” data flow will also be surfaced inside the app.
